Our History

• June 23, 2009: (BACE) was founded.
• July 25, 2009: First BACE kick off meeting in Mountain View.
• June 5, 2011: Major BACE organization revamp meeting in Foster City. Sean Peng became the president.
• January 23, 2012: SVCE was founded by Dr Yang Wu.
• July 14, 2012: BACE merged with SVCE. Dr Yang Wu became the president of the merged organization.
• August 1, 2012: BACE was renamed to BACES.
• August 11, 2014: Major expansion of BACES in Silicon Valley and elsewhere.
• January 18, 2015: Establishment of parnership with SV Cafe. BACES becomes the subsidiary
• October 15, 2016: Dr Wilson Li appointed Vice President.
• January 11, 2017: Organization's name reinstated to be SVCE, due to its popularity
• April 21, 2020: BACES, SVCE officially consolidated into SV Cafe and became its subsidiaries
• July 2, 2022: SV Cafe and its subsidiaries were united with BAES (Bay Area Entrepreneurs & Startups) a public non-profit with 10300 members
